The 2007 Float Riders are Rotary Youth Exchange Students
Maria Soledad Kramm is from Chile. Solé was President of her Osorno-Cordillera Interact Club last year. She is a junior at Santa Barbara High School where she is in the International Club. Sole attended a private girls academy in Osorno, Chile, where she and her teammates won the national volleyball championship. In Chile, Sole attends the highly respected Blass Pascal School. Her goal is to become a medical doctor specializing in reconstructive surgery. Sole is an avid snowboarder
Daniel Léon was born in Brazil but has lived in Quito, Ecuador since he was 8. He is hosted by the Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. He loves to play soccer, mountain biking, tennis and dancing. He is currently studying his fourth language, French
Muthoni Munene is a Rotary exchange student from Kenya, with a deep love for her country and a strong belief in the beauty and diverse potential of Africa. She is enthusiastic and optimistic and loves to share her culture and learn from others. She is honored and grateful to Rotary for this valuable experience! She is hosted by the Rotary Club of Big Bear.
Aurélien Romain is from Belgium. He is 18 years old and is hosted by the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills. He is from a big family, three older brothers and one younger sister. He likes to play soccer and is on the school team. He also likes to play tennis with friends. His passions are sports, hanging out with friends and discovering new things. He is a very social and friendly person and likes to meet new people.
Gurleen Kaur Sahni is from New Delhi, India and is hosted by the Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo. She is a Senior at San Luis Obispo High School and her favorite pastimes are music, dancing, and painting. When she returns to India she will go to the University to study fine arts.
Candace Yang is from China. She is a 16-year-old junior at Huntington Beach High School. She has no brothers or sisters. She enjoys singing, playing tennis, going to movies and hanging out with friends. She likes to be active all the time! She is extremely excited to be a part of this amazing Rose Parade!
Dominik Tomaszswski is from Poland and is being hosted by the Rotary Club of Duarte in District 5300. He loves horses and calls himself a modern day cowboy and a ‘Horse Whisperer.’ Dominik is a Junior at Duarte High School.
Carlos Bachiller hails from Alcalá de Henares near Madrid, Spain, the home of Don Quixote. Carlos is a junior at Pacific Hills School in West Hollywood. He plays flamenco guitar and is an avid soccer player. He has an infectious smile and makes friends wherever he goes. Carlos is hosted by the Rotary Club of Los Angeles (LA5).
